George Frideric Handel 1685-1759,a British German composer,is an international and prolific composer in Baroque period(1600-1750).His works have a wide range of genres,especially in oratorio and opera.Alcina is a three act opera with mythological theme.It is a classic work with strong expression and appeal.Aria often appears on the stage of concerts and international vocal competition.A thorough study of this work is of far-reaching significance to grasp the singing style of Handel's opera works.This paper is divided into four parts,the first part is an overview of Handel's opera creation career and special characteristics.The second part is the introduction of the opera from three aspects: the creation background,the plot content and the aria Tornami a vagheggiar.The third part is an in-depth analysis of the Aria "Tornami a vagheggiar",which is discussed from three aspects: personas,music noumenon and singing skills.The fourth part is to explore and summarize the teaching significance of Handel's works.
