As a new historical demonstration,epitaph has been paid more and more attention by more and more scholars.From the two Jin dynasties,the epitaph began to sprout and develop,although the number of epitaph in this period is small,but its calligraphy art style is unique and changeable,which has a very important study value in terms of calligraphy and historical literature.This article takes the calligraphy study of the epitaph of the two Jin dynasties as the topic,takes the 34 epitaph as the main research object,and further understands the political,economic,cultural and other social conditions at that time by studying the epitaph and combining with the relevant literature.in order to play a role in testifying history,rectifying history and making up history.The text is divided into three parts.The first part is mainly to sort out the first-hand material-epitaph,the author finds that: in terms of time,the time of publication and engraving of the epitaph is mainly concentrated in the Eastern Jin Dynasty;in terms of specific burial places,the epitaph of the Western Jin Dynasty is basically buried in Luoyang,while the Eastern Jin Dynasty is buried in Nanjing;in terms of shape,the author divides it into three types: rectangular stone,tomb brick stone and other forms of epitaph.In terms of the classified statistics of the writing format,the epitaph contents of the two Jin dynasties are mostly popular to record the name,place of origin,official position,burial year and burial place information of the master.In the distribution of the epitaph clan,the epitaph of the Langya Wang family is the most.In the second part,the artistic style of the epitaph is classified into five types: beautiful ancient type,founder stable type,calm and handsome type,simple and vigorous type,naive and rugged type.The last part analyzes the calligraphy characteristics of the epitaph,compares the epitaph of the two Jin dynasties with that of the Han,Wei and Northern dynasties,andunderstands the writing characteristics of the epitaph of the two Jin Dynasty.it also expounds the important significance of the evolution of the epitaph of the two Jin dynasties to the history of the development of Chinese calligraphy.
