“Hu Zhuang Qing Xia Tu” is Zhao Lingrang's most credible handed down work,it is regarded as an important link connecting the landscapes of the two Song dynasties and created the continuation of the landscape of the Southern Song Dynasty.Based on the study of the meaning of “Xiaojing”,this article firstly examines the three themes of willow,lotus,and waterfowl in the picture from the perspective of imageology,and believes that reflects Zhao Lingrang's thought of returning to hermit;second,from the perspective of formal style,analyzes the source and significance of“Pingyuan Xiaojing”;finally,combining the background of the old and new party struggles,it is proposed that “Hu zhuang Qing Xia Tu” is the political product of the old and new party battles in the Northern Song Dynasty,Implicit in the aesthetic ideas and political metaphors of literati,such as Su Shi and Huang Tingjian,is the “sing-out” of painting.
