Since the opening of the first African Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi in Kenya in 2005,more and more African teenagers have begun to learn Chinese,study in China,and learn about Chinese culture.With the rapid increase in the number of people learning Chinese in African countries,the continuous expansion of the scale of running schools,the shortage of teachers,the lack of teaching materials,and the shortage of teaching facilities,the problems are becoming increasingly prominent.Education and cultural exchanges,cooperation and mutual learning.Among them,the problem of teachers is the primary factor affecting the development of Confucius Institutes.At present,the Chinese government and domestic cooperative colleges and universities need to send a large number of Chinese teachers and volunteers to teach at the Confucius Institute.At the same time,more and more local students who graduated from the Chinese education major are joining the teaching team.This is what we usually do.The "native Chinese teacher",also known as "native teacher".This study aims to study the number and quality of local teachers of the Confucius Institute in Africa,what good experience and problems exist in the construction of the existing local Chinese teacher team,and how to better promote the development of local Chinese teachers.This study uses Tanzania and Cameroon Confucius Institutes as an example,on the basis of investigation and analysis,put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of native Chinese teachers in Confucius Institutes in Africa.The full text is divided into five parts: The first part is the introduction.Based on the current status of the development of local Chinese teachers at the Confucius Institute in Africa,relevant questions are raised,and the relevant research background and research methods of this article are explained.Second,an overview of the current development of Confucius Institutes in Africa and the current status of teachers.It aims to highlight the necessity of conducting research on this issue.Through the analysis of the achievements and development trend of the Confucius Institute in Africa,it is believed that the shortage of teachers will affect the healthy development of the Confucius Institute,and it is necessary to further promote the development of local Chinese teachers.Third,using local Chinese teachers from Confucius Institutes in Tanzania and Cameroon as the research object,using questionnaire surveys,personal interviews,classroom observations,etc.,on the basis of obtaining survey data and primary data,using SPSS19.0 analysis tools to analyze the results,A more comprehensive display of the current status and problems of local Chinese teachers in Africa.Fourth,based on the analysis of the third part of the questionnaire and the actual situation of the local Chinese teachers,mainly from the local Chinese teachers themselves,local Chinese teachers in the compilation and use of textbooks,and the management and training of local Chinese teachers to explain The problems related to the local Chinese teachers at the Confucius Institute in Africa: the level of local Chinese teachers and their teaching experience need to be improved,the participation of local Chinese teacher textbooks is not high,and a relatively complete local teacher training system has not yet been established.Fifth,based on the results of the survey and analysis,and taking the problem as the guide,put forward strategies and suggestions for strengthening the construction of local teachers.These include: increasing support for the growth of native Chinese teachers in Africa;establishing an evaluation system and incentive system for local teachers ’teaching abilities;improving local teachers’ training standards and training systems. |
