As the constant development of the popularization of international Chinese, there are more and more researches on it. Since the first Confucius Institution was founded in late 2004, it has made great development and success in more than 100 countries all around the world. As the first popularizing platform for international Chinese, Confucius Institution has such an important function. However, there is a quite inconsistent situation: few researches on Confucius Institution are available. Meanwhile, facing the fact that there is such a huge demand for the international Chinese teachers in the world, researches on international Chinese teachers are also difficult to find. Therefore, this thesis takes the both into consideration and tries to probe into an effective mode for training international Chinese teachers by Confucius Institution.For the nowadays situation of international Chinese teachers, there's no exact data or information for research. The concerned researches are almost limited in certain smaller areas, such as Southeast Asia. The foundation of Confucius Institution provides a direct platform for the popularization of international Chinese. Therefore, we should start necessary study and research on the international Chinese teachers and on the basis of these study and researches form an effective mode for training international Chinese teachers, so that meet the worldwide huge demand for the teachers and make the teachers more qualified to their jobs. However, on this issue, there are still no research articles or special theory. On the basis of knowing the situation and understanding the tenet and function of Confucius Institution, also with analyzing the situation and problems of international Chinese teachers and taking the actual advantages of Confucius Institution into consideration, this thesis suggests a new mode for the Confucius Institution to train international Chinese teachers and discusses the new characteristics of this kind of training. The thesis makes full use of concerned works and takes necessary surveys and interviews about international Chinese teachers and Confucius Institution, so that it proposes new viewpoint on the basis of factual information.The thesis includes four chapters: Chapter 1 expatiates on the research background and analyses current situation and the problems during the popularization of international Chinese. Meanwhile, it gives a brief introduction on the researching achievement of the training of international Chinese teachers as well as the research method, purpose and significance of the thesis. Chapter 2 expatiates on the development of Confucius Institution, giving a further explanation on its tenet and principle. It provides the elements for expounding the training mode of international Chinese teachers in Confucius Institution by analyzing the main advantages of training teachers by making full use of the resources in Confucius Institution. Chapter 3 mainly talks about the current situation of the international Chinese teachers and the problems of the teachers. Meanwhile, it introduces the main modes of training international Chinese teachers and analyses the limitation of these modes, so that it provides some reference for the new training mode in Confucius Institution. Chapter 4 is the most important of the thesis, which firstly expounds current situation of the training work and the necessary preparation in Confucius Institution, then focus on the characteristics of the training content and proposes newer content for the training in Confucius Institution. Finally, on the basic of public product theory and uses American bilingual teacher-training-system for reference, it proposes the macroscopical mode for training international teachers in Confucius Institution, and under the guide of the macroscopical mode, the thesis also put forward the microcosmic training mode, which means setting up the grade system during the training. Besides, the thesis proposes the different training methods for different grades. In the end, the conclusive part points out the limitation of the thesis and proposes the general direction of the further research.
