Study On Taoism Of Four Bachelors Of Sumen

The Four Bachelors of Sumen,named Huang Tingjian,Chao Buzhi,Qin Guan and Zhang Lei,were outstanding representatives of the literary group under Su Shi in the middle period of the Northern Song Dynasty.The thought of Four Bachelors of Sumen are mainly Confucianism,and also adopts Buddhism and Taoism,which is an epitome of the thought of literati in Song Dynasty,and reflects the trend of combining Confucianism,Buddhism,Taoism and Taoism in Song Dynasty.The Taoist thoughts of the Four Bachelors of Sumen are mainly reflected in their interpretation of the Taoist classics,their understanding of the "Tao",Taoist elements in their outlook on life,and their views on the harmony between Confucianism and Taoism.The article is divided into six parts to discuss the Taoist thought of the Four Bachelors of Sumen.The first part mainly introduces the ideological and academic background of the northern Song Dynasty.The Four Bachelors of Sumen entered the official career through the imperial examination,which benefited from the national policy of attaching importance to culture and education and developing the imperial examination in the Song Dynasty.During the northern Song Dynasty,the opening of the society promoted the diversification of thoughts,and the monastic way often appeared in the circle of friends of scholar-officials.The second part discusses the main content of Huang Tingjian's Taoist thought.Huang Tingjian's Taoist thought is mainly reflected in his thinking on the relationship between humen and nature.He believes that the origin of all things is "from the root to the root" and the initial state of life is static.When explaining Mencius' "Da Zhang Fu",Huang Tingjian added Taoism to Confucianism,which enriched the connotation of Mencius' theory.Finally,Huang Tingjian absorbed methods of Laozi's "Dichu Xuanlan"and Zhuangzi's "Xinzhai" to improve his theory of mind.The third part discusses Chao Buzhi's Taoist thought.After introducing Chao Buzhi's thoughts on Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,this paper laid special stress on analysing Chao Buzhi's Taoist outlook on life about "Anshichushun".Finally,the paper discussed the cause of hermit thought and its reflection in its landscape idyll.The fourth part discusses the Taoist thought of Qin Guan.Firstly,this paper discussed the complementary tendency of Confucianism and Taoism in Qin Guan's thought and the personality ideal of the inner sage and outer king.Secondly,the author analyzed the causes of the rise of the study of "Daode Xingming"in Song Dynasty,the representative figures and the influence of Taoist thought on the study of "Daode Xingming" in Qin Guan.Finally,the concept of"Xin",and the influence of Taoist thought on Qin Guan's theory of mind are discussed.The fifth part discusses the main contents of Zhang Lei's Taoist thought.First of all,on the understanding of"Tao",Zhang Lei believed that"Tao.is "name without reality,its movement without trace,benefits all things without the use of the name,according to the change of all things and amorphous.Secondly,Zhang Lei's understanding of "Xing" was deeply influenced by Taoism and the Doctrine of the Mean.Finally,this paper discussed Zhang Lei's idea of reconciling Confucianism and Taoism.He thinks that Taoism attaches importance to "Daode Xingming",while Confucianism attaches importance to"benevolence","righteousness" and "propriety" which can be combined to enrich Confucianism.The sixth part summarizes the characteristics of the Taoist thought and its contribution to Academics of Song Dynasty.The four scholars of Sumen advocated the complementation of Confucianism and Taoism,and their Taoist thoughts had a strong influence on their theory of mind and nature.The four scholars of Sumen attached great importance to the interpretation of philosophy,integrates the thought of all conforms to the development trend of Academics of Song Dynasty,and enriches the connotation of Academics of Song Dynasty.
