Huang Tingjian (1045-1105), Northern Song Dynasty poet, poet, calligrapher, good articles, poems, especially work of calligraphy. Exquisite calligraphy, Su Shi, Mi Fu and Cai Xiang said "Song four". Huang Tingjian’s "Guan Yun" calligraphy aesthetic thought has an important historical position in the history of Chinese calligraphy aesthetic, a far-reaching impact. Huang Tingjian integrated the theories of "Reflecting the mind directly" and "Insight making the Buddha" from Chan and genuine truth of "Xin Zhai" and "Zuo Wang" from Zhuangzi together, and he pointed out that the spirit of all paintings and calligraphy originated in Yi and that the most important standard of appraising people was "Yun", only by which could the calligraphers with great attainments obtain the inner spirit from calligraphy."Yun" in calligraphy could be produced by combining the personal training with appreciating the beauty from pieceworks. That is to say,"Yun" came from the inner acknowledgement and accomplishment and the outstanding artistic skills. In this essay, we begin with the discussion of Shang Yi in calligraphy in Song Dynasty, to narrate the foundation of "Yun" of Huang Tingjian and also carry out a deep discussion about the influence on "Guan Yun" of Huang Tingjian in his calligraphilism coming from the thought of Dao and Chan. Some meaningful viewpoints were given as for the aesthetic thought of "Guan Yun" of Huang Tingjian in calligraphy.The thesis consists of three chapters. In the first part of this essay, we discussed the background of formation about the aesthetic thought of "Guan Yun" put forward by Huang Tingjian in calligraphy. To begin with, we illustrated the "Shang Yi" style of calligraphy and political, economic and cultural development in the Earlier Song Dynasty, which had an influence on the thought of Huang Tingjian. Then we figured out the aesthetic thought of "Guan Yun" put forward by Huang Tingjian.In the second part of this essay, we demonstrated the aesthetic characteristics of the aesthetic thought of "Guan Yun". Distinctive sense of performance; The aesthetic realm of the "Tuosu" and "Miaoxin"; The calligraphy method of thinking "Xujing " and "Dunwu"; Simple short idle aesthetic style. We demonstrated the new connotation of "Yun" was formed from the thoughts of "Miaoxin" and "Tuosu; The new connotation of "Yun" was formed from the new thoughts of "Dun Wu" and "Zi Ran". Reveals Huang Tingjian’s concept of calligraphy aesthetic ideas Zhuang Wei and Chan Yi Finally, we proposed the calligraphy method of "Miao Xin", Reached "Jandanxianyuan" aesthetic style.In the last part of this essay, taking the "Gaoyunjuesu "spirit of cursive and the "Dunwu" spirit of Running Script, we reveal the analysis of the aesthetic ideas of the concept of "Guan Yun" calligraphy practice. On this basis, discusses the value of Huang Tingjian’s concept of "Guan Yun" aesthetic thought.
