| As the economic lifeline and industrial foundation of our country,the oil and gas industry is not only closely connected with domestic industry but also tightly bound up with our lives.Driven by the oil and gas industry,the development of China's energy industry has provided many employment opportunities for the society.However,the operation standard and safety management of the oil and gas industry are not valued.This translation practice report is based on the three rules of the Skopos theory,analyzes the stylistic,linguistic characteristics and translation difficulties of original text from three aspects:vocabulary,syntax,and text.The translator solved difficulties by applying the Skopos theory to analyze its translation strategies.The first chapter mainly describes translation background,significance and objectives of translation tasks.The second chapter introduces the translation process,including pre-translation,while-translation and post-translation.The third chapter briefly introduces the formation and related studies of the Skopos theory,as well as the application of Skopos theory.The fourth chapter is case analysis,which analyzes the difficulties in the translation process from the perspective of vocabulary,syntax and text.Based on the cases the translator selects the appropriate translation strategies by applying the three rules of Skopos theory.The fifth chapter summarizes major findings of the practice report,and the translator makes corresponding suggestions for the translation study in the oil and gas industry.In the translation process,taking the Skopos theory as the theoretical guide,the translator summarized characteristics of source text in the oil and gas industry,and the translator uses flexible translation strategies to solve related translation problems aiming to increase the safety awareness of staff in management of oil and gas industry and provide specific experience for teachers and students and technicians. |
