Colorful minority culture provides fertile soil and nutrition for the prosperity of the local cultural products in Xinjiang.Since the further improvement of the translation quality of Xinjiang cultural products is directly related to the breadth and depth of Xinjiang culture "going out",the translator has selected a collection of proses The Healing Pastureland as the translation source text which introduces the daily life and customs of herdsmen in Altay,Xinjiang.The translator hopes that the foreign readers will increase their understanding of the nomadic culture of Xinjiang minorities by reading the translation,so as to improve the popularity of Xinjiang's local culture.By understanding the background information,reading relevant papers and so on,the translator made preparations for the translation and completed the translation task under the guidance of functional equivalence theory.To improve the translation,the translator revised the target text by self-proofreading and discussion with others.As for the case analysis,representative sentences were analyzed in detail with the assistance of translation strategies.Finally,findings,limitations as well as suggestions for future translation practice were summarized.
