In the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.textbooks play a vital role as the basis for teaching.The quality of a textbook directly affects the effect of teaching and the learners' learning outcome Practice is an important part part of the textbook,and its writing design also reflects the level of textbook writing.Practice is an effective means of language learning.Learners use a lot of repetitive and effective exercises to transform the language elements they learn into language skills and form target language thinking to gain the ability to use the language they learn to communicate.The development of English as a second language teaching is early and far-reaching.A lot of excellent textbooks have appeared.The choice of comparing Chinese textbooks with English textbooks is to learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses,and to better advise on the compilation of Chinese textbooks for foreigners,Therefore,this article selects the exercises in the initial stage of the new English or Chinese classic textbooks New Concept English(First Things First)and Boya Chinese(Elementary Start)as the research object,to study the similarities and differences in the practice of the textbooksThe full text is divided into six chapters,using comparative analysis and quantitative research methods,respectively from three aspects of practice instructions,practice content,practice form to investigate the practice of the two sets of textbooks.Using case analysis method to compare and analyze specific exercisesThe first chapter introduces the research status,research significance,etc.,and expounds the research scope and research methods of this article:the second chapter statistic the practice instructions of the two sets of teaching materials,and make a comparative analysis of them,and found the English instructions of New Concept English are more suitable for the level of elementary learners to understand them.The practice instructions of Boya Chinese are too difficult and the coordination of Chinese and English instructions is not as good as that of New Concept English;in Chapter 3.we will focus on language elements and speech skills.In terms of the comparative analysis of the practice content of the two sets of textbooks.we found that Boya Chinese attaches more importance to phonetic practice than New Concept English.Bova Chinese emphasizes the development of learners' reading and speaking skills.New Concept English pay more attention to training learners' listening and speaking skills:Chapter 4:According to Mr.Yang's classification of exercises.the exercises of the two sets of textbooks are divided into four categories for statistical analysis,and it is found that New Concept English imitates memory.Practice-oriented.Boya Chinese focuses on comprehension-based exercises;Chapter 5 adopts the method of case study and selects several specific exercises from the textbooks for comparative analysis to reflect the similarities and differences between the two sets of textbooks;Chapter 6 finds the problems in the Chinese language teaching materials for foreigners based on the previous analysis and draws on English textbooks There are some suggestions for the compilation of textbook exercises:in terms of practice instructions,pay attention to the coordination of Chinese and English practice instructions.In terms of practice content,we must pay attention to the cultivation of students' listening and speaking ability.In the form of practice,we should pay attention to the proportion of four types of exercises and the difficulty of communicative exercises.This article conducts a relatively comprehensive comparative analysis of the practice compilation of the two sets of textbooks,and hopes that the research in this article can play a role in the compilation of foreign language textbook exercises.
