The structure of "X is more N than N"(e.g."He is more of Zhu ge Liang then Zhu ge Liang")is a deviated combination of comparison sentence("Bi")in modern Chinese.The comparative object "pre N" and the conclusion item "back N" are acted by the same noun "N".The adverb "also" is modified “back Noun”,which often appears in oral and literary works.Through the collection of corpus,it is found that this structure is used more and more frequently in both written and spoken languages,which has become a linguistic phenomenon that can not be ignored.In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,this structure is also an important and difficult teaching point.The traditional teaching methods of “subject predicate object” also have limitations.Second language learners also expect to learn more about this type of authentic expression.We are guided by construction theory,lexical chunk theory and cognitive theory,to understand the structure of "Xi is more N than N" from the perspective of construction,to analyze its construction meaning,and to divide the lexical chunks and lexical chains.The thesis first discusses the teaching inspiration and the teaching process,and then proposes a specific teaching design.The study obtains teaching feedback through a teaching practice.Finally,according to self-reflection,the study puts forward some teaching suggestions,hoping to help the teaching of Chinese as a foreign/second language with the construction of “X is more N than N.”The thesis includes five chapters.Chapter 1 is the introduction,which introduces the reasons for the selection of the topic and the significance of the research.The chapter also summarizes the research results of "X is more N than N" and introduces the basic theories such as construction theory,lexical chunk theory and cognitive theory and so on.Moreover,it explains the research object and methods.Chapter 2 presents the semantic analysis of "X is more N than N." It determines that the structure is a construction,and then analyses the construction meaning,and the internal semantic configuration.Further,the chunks are divided,and finally the chunk chain is obtained.Chapter 3 presents the teaching inspiration of "X is more N than N." It discusses the enlightenment of textbook arrangement,grammar grade syllabus and ontology research on teaching,and then summarizes the teaching process.On the basis of teaching enlightenment and teaching process,we design,in chapter 4,a specific teaching programs,which carries out practical teaching practice,and obtain meaningful teaching feedback and teacher's reflection.Chapter 5 summarizes results of this research and achievements.It also explains the issues of this study,which would be the direction and goals of future efforts.
