Symmetry format is a kind of common linguistic phenomenon in in contemporary Chinese, particularly in numerous applications of oral expressions.Symmetry format has irregularity in form and non-compositionality in semantic. This"irregularity" and "non- compositionality" led to many difficulties for the Chinese learners to understand and use of the symmetry format.But in the actual teaching process, because of the particularity of symmetry format itself, it is difficult to achieve satisfactory teaching effect if the teachers only deal with it from the perspective of idioms, or only analyze and explain it from the perspective of traditional syntactic structure.Therefore, this paper breaks through the original research perspective and analysis pattern, referring to the research achievement of construction - chunk analysis method used for the existential sentences, and pivotal sentences in the syntactic level, trying to use construction - chunk analysis method to investigate and analyze the Chinese symmetry format in cognitive level, Hoping to be able to benefit the efficient teaching of Chinese common symmetry format.This paper is mainly constituted by the "construction——language chunk"analysis of contrastive structure, "construction——language chunk" teaching motivation analysis of contrastive structure, and the application of "construction——language chunk" teaching methodology in contrastive structure teaching.The introduction illustrates the reason and significance of the topic, and simply describes the "construction theory","language chunk theory" and "analytical method of construction language chunk" as well as the current research status quo of"contrastive structure" and "structure——language chunk" analytical method.Meanwhile,it also defines the concept,presents the research method and linguistic data source in this paper.The first chapter takes "construction——language chunk" analytical method to investigate the contrastive structure, demonstrates the reasonability of regarding the contrastive structure to be the construction, analyzes and concludes different types of the contrastive structure constructions, the inner semantic composition belonging to the construction, and the language chunk link. The second chapter attempts to apply the analysis result from first chapter in the teaching of Chinese to foreigners, which further investigates the difficulties and problems of contrastive structure in the teaching of Chinese to foreigners, as well as the motivation and advantage of"construction——language chunk" teaching for Chinese contrastive structure.Through teaching examples, the third chapter presents the actual application about analytical method of construction language chunk for contrastive structure,verifies the teaching result by comparison and experiments, and discusses the solution strategies of related problems in the teaching from full playing of teaching result perspective.The conclusion summarizes each chapter's content,and illustrates the problems that requiring further consideration and solution.
