An Analysis Of Errors In Using Chinese Verb-object Detachable Words By Thai Learners

Detachable Words are a special group of words in modern Chinese,which can be separated or combined.Generally,detachable words cannot directly take object when used together.This particularity is a big challenge to the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language and the acquisition of Chinese detachable words by international students.Since there are no words corresponding to Chinese detachable words in Thai,it is more difficult for Thai learners to master and use detachable words.Therefore,this paper will study the errors of Chinese verb-object detachable words of Thai learners from the perspective of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Based on the Dictionary of Usage of Detachable Words in Modern Chinese,the Dictionary of Learning Detachable Words in Modern Chinese,the Outline of Level of Chinese Vocabulary and Chinese Characters,and the Outline of Vocabulary in HSK Chinese Proficiency Examination,this paper selects 46 verb-object Detachable Words with high frequency and covering four lexical levels of A,B,C and D as the research objects,and uses Thailand in the three corpus.From the corpus of Chinese learners writings and the corpus collected by the author in teaching practice,the errors of Thai learners in using Chinese verb-object detachable words are sorted out.Following the characteristics that detachable words can be separable and separable,the errors of Chinese verb-object detachable words of Thai learners are divided into two categories:deviation errors and co-use errors.With the help of theoretical knowledge such as error analysis,this paper systematically analyses the errors and causes of Chinese verb-object detachable words of Thai learners.Finally,some suggestions are put forward from three aspects of teaching,teaching materials and learning strategies in order to promote Thai learners.To master Chinese verb-object detachable words and enrich the classroom teaching and textbook compilation of detachable words.
