Singapore is a multi-ethnic,multi-lingual country.t present,the country implements a bilingual education policy,that is,English-speaking bilingual education,which is an English-Chinese language education for Chinese students.The Chinese language education policy in this case is also a distinctive form of contemporary overseas Chinese education.First of all,the author is engaged in Chinese education in private schools in Singapore.In the process of teaching,I found that there are many specialities in Chinese teaching and learning in Singapore New Century School.It has unique regional characteristics and thus forms a unique Chinese teaching method.In view of the characteristics and teaching methods of Singapore Chinese,the author investigates and studies the Chinese teaching situation in private schools in Singapore.Secondly,from the four aspects of teachers,teaching materials,teaching and students,the author has done a research on the Chinese teaching of Chinese in the New Century School in Singapore.In terms of teachers,the teachers are not very strong,there is no uniform recruitment standard;they all teach with their own experience,and there is no scale of teaching methods or methods.s a private Chinese school with independence in Singapore,New Century Schools should have Own teaching mode and teaching form.In terms of teaching materials,the teaching materials are single and lack of pertinence;the teaching materials used in schools are too single,only one kind,and belong to the comprehensive training materials,and there is no specific teaching materials for listening,speaking,reading and writing.In terms of teaching,the concept is relatively backward,and the methods and methods are not novel.Different teaching methods are adopted for the characteristics and teaching methods of Singapore Chinese,but many teachers do not understand the principles and methods of using each teaching method.In terms of students,the interest in learning is not high,and the purpose of the exam is strong.Teachers andparents should actively cultivate students' interest in learning,and let the children contact Chinese and Chinese cultures,and adopt different methods to improve students' learning problems.Finally,the author investigates and studies the Chinese teaching situation in Singapore's New Century School and puts forward some suggestions on related issues.I hope to provide some help for future research.
