| Reading teaching is an important part in primary school English teaching.Reading teaching is not only about understanding the meaning of the reading text,but more importantly,the training of skills,like listening,speaking,reading and writing,the developing of reading strategies and promoting of reading abilities.However,the current reading teaching is not so satisfying that can’t meet the learning needs of the students requires to be changed.Therefore,the writer puts forward the application of Task-based Guided learning plan in primary school English reading teaching.Research on Task-based Teaching Method and Guided Learning Plan are all hot points among scholars.And the research results have been a lot.However,the number of research on Task-based Guided Learning Plan,which is the combination of Task-based Teaching Method and Guided Learning Plan is less,let alone the research on primary school reading teaching is less and less.This research tries to discuss the problems in current primary school reading teaching and prove the effectiveness of Task-based Gilded Learning Plan by a one-term-long teaching experiment.This thesis focus on the following two questions:1.What is the current situation of primary school students’English reading?How do teachers carry out English reading teaching?2.Can the Task-based Guided Learning Plan be effectively used in improving the scores of students’ reading test,and improving the primary school English reading teaching?The author took the Fifth Grade students in Xuzhou Science and Technology Experimental Primary School as the research objects.First,the author explored the current English reading teaching by students’ questionnaires and teachers’ interviews.Then,the author designed and applied the Task-based Guided Learning Plan in primary school English reading teaching.At last,through the comparison of grades between the pre-test and post-test,and the interviews among six students of three different learning levels,the author analysed the effectiveness of Task-based Guided Learning Plan in primary school English reading teaching.The results of the research are as follows.1.There are many problems in current English reading teaching.The teachers conduct teaching methods which put emphasis on language points instead of reading abilities.The students are lack of reading interests,initiatives and strategies,while their reading customs,lexical resources,grammar,background knowledge,and humanistic knowledge also need to be improved.2.The application of Task-based Guided Learning Plan can improve the scores of students’ reading test,change the way of students’ previewing the text,raise their interest in reading and develop their reading abilities.In the teachers’ aspect,Task-based Guided Learning Plan can improve the comprehensive quality of teachers.In classroom teaching,Task-based Guided Learning Plan can scientifically allocate the role of teachers and students,carry out colourful activities,as well as rationalize instructional mode.To summarize,the application of Task-based Guided Learning Plan can bring about a positive change in the English reading teaching in primary school. |
