The latest scientific and technological progress has put forward higher-level requirements for the all-round development of talents.The growth of teenagers is closely related to the education of the country,so education is crucial to the cultivation of talents.To further deepen curriculum reform,the Ministry of Education has issued the latest compulsory education curriculum plans and standards(2022 edition).It puts forward higher and stricter requirements for the development of students’ comprehensive ability.However,under the influence of test-oriented education,the traditional indoctrination teaching mode overemphasizes on the authority of teachers and the subject achievements of students.It ignores the development of students’ interest in English reading and students’ autonomous learning ability.It is far from the purpose of modern education.Therefore,the reform of the teaching mode is an urgent problem for education to solve.A large number of literature studies have shown that in recent years,the group cooperative teaching mode has been widely used in the teaching of various regions and disciplines,but it is prone to problems such as classroom chaos.The teaching mode needs a new carrier to let students have a clearer understanding of the classroom and themselves.Based on the above realistic teaching environment,the author tries to use guided learning plan as a teaching carrier and combines the cooperative learning mode in the junior high school English classroom teaching.The author conducts a teaching practice in the internship school,and carries out experimental research on the application of the teaching mode to junior high school English reading.Research tools include questions,questionnaires,and interview outlines for collecting research data.In this experiment,the author randomly selects two classes of Grade Two in junior high school in the City of Taiyuan as the research subjects.One class is randomly selected as the experimental class with 40 students and the other is the control class with 44 students.The experimental study lasts for four months.This study aims to answer three research questions:1.Does the application of cooperative learning mode based on guided learning plan improve students’ English reading achievement? If yes,to what extent does this mode of teaching affect the performance of students at different levels?2.What is the influence of this mode on students’ interest towards English reading?3.What influence does the application of this mode have on students’ autonomous learning ability in the process of English reading?After the end of the experiment,the author uses SPSS software to compare and analyze all test results of the experimental class and the control class,summaries and sorts out the results of questionnaire survey and interview.The results show that the cooperative teaching mode based on guided learning plan has a positive impact on improving students’ English reading performance,reading interest and independent learning ability.The main manifestations are: 1.In terms of English reading scores,the test scores of students in the experimental class are significantly higher than those in the control class,and the performance of students in the low-score groups is more significant.2.In terms of English reading interest,the reading interest of experimental class students is greatly improved,while the English reading interest of students in the control class has no significant change.3.In terms of autonomous learning ability,the development of autonomous learning ability of students in the experimental class is significantly better than that of the control class.Therefore,the cooperative learning teaching mode with the guided learning plan as the carrier can enhance students’ learning motivation and promote the improvement of students’ academic performance in English to a certain extent.It can also promote the development of students’ autonomous learning ability and help students effectively improve their English learning ability. |
