A Report On E-C Translation Of Information Infrastructures Within European Health Care (Excerpt)

In recent years,the information infrastructure construction of eHealth has received more and more attention in China and the whole international scope.Countries are adopting more scientific and effective medical systems to better prevent and respond to health problems.Information Infrastructures within European Health Care,the book was published by Springer,showing the theoretical core of eHealth and making a detailed case study of the eHealth system in many European countries.It provides many feasible ways to improve the medical system,which is of great significance to our country.At present,the translation of such text is not sufficient,and the quality varies greatly.So the study on English-Chinese translation of this text has both theoretical and practical significance.Under the guidance of the Functionalist Skopos Theory,this report studies and explores the E-C translation of Information Infrastructures within European Health Care in chapter 2 and chapter 3.Apart from the introduction and conclusion,it consists of four chapters.Chapter One is task description,which introduces the source and features of the source text as well as the research background and significance.Chapter Two describes the translation process,including preparations before translation,translation process and proofreading process.Chapter Three is the cases analysis,which is the most important part of the translation report,and mainly analyzes the methods for E-C translation of the text from aspects of lexical level,syntactic level and discourse level under the guidance of the Functionalist Skopos Theory.The fourth chapter is a summary of translation practice,which summarizes the experience and lessons of this translation,and points out some unresolved problems in the translation process.This report focuses on the methods of the E-C translation.Through this practice,the translator could deepen the understanding of the translation of scientific and technological texts and improve the translation ability so as to realize the accurate transmission of information and provide some help to the translation research in this field in the future.
