Present Situation And Development Countermeasures Of Vocal Music Teaching For Medium Art Schools

President Xi Jinping pointed out that Cultural confidence was a more fundamental,deeper and more lasting force in the development of a country and a nation.Vocal music is not only an important part in the development of Chinese culture,but also an essential content of the construction of China’s spiritual civilization.Vocal music,a relatively simple form of art,has been accepted by the masses and spread throughout the country.People like to express their feelings when singing,whether in grass-roots cultural activities or in various large-scale cultural activities.The best time to learn vocal music is when the sound changes are basically completed,usually in junior high school between the ages of 15 and 17.Therefore,most boys and girls who are fond of singing may apply to a secondary art school to realize their dream of singing.When these students with music dreams get enrolled in the art school,their life and career plans also come after.The study aims to explore how to cultivate students better,how to make students master professional skills better,and how to improve their professionalism as well as their cultural accomplishment,so as to meet the requirements of rapid social development for artistic talents,to enable them to be competent to make a further study at art colleges of higher level or to provide them with more employment opportunities.The study is based on Yantai Art School,a key national technical secondary school established in 1958.The school is a standardized school with a history of 60 years in Shandong province.It has totally set up more than 20 majors including traditional opera,art,vocal music,instrumental music,dance,drama,etc.,and has cultivated a large number of artistic talents for the country over the years,and once attracted numerous artistic talents to apply to it.However,the reform of national education system and employment system has brought pain and transformation to this famous school,and the problems of teaching reform it faces are the same to most art secondary schools.At present,in the face of the continuous expansion of the enrollment scale of higher art colleges and universities and the increasing popularity of social education,secondary art schools are facing the situation of double decline in enrollment quantity and quality.It is essential to make an in-depth study on how to improve students’ professional competence and comprehensive ability from perspectives of educationreform and management,so as to help them to win a place in the fierce social competition.In terms of teaching management,since its reform was implemented five years ago,Yantai Art School has transformed from an “art high school” dominated by college entrance examination into a vocational art high school with employment distribution and overseas study as the main line,and has accumulated some valuable experience.In the aspect of vocal music teaching,with the deepening of the teaching reform,great changes have taken place gradually.How to make vocal music teaching keep the pace with the times,and various problems existing in current teaching need to be solved from a deeper level.For example,in-depth research and practice are required on problems of the selection of students,the index setting of teaching management,the means to achieve teaching objectives,the arrangement of teaching courses,the improvement of students’ artistic accomplishment,the learning of students’ cultural courses,the cultivation of students’ professional qualities,and so on.I hope this study and practice may contribute slightly to the improvement of the current teaching level of vocal music.
