With the continuous expansion of social work services in China and the deepening of service content, social workers play an increasingly important role in the field of mental health services with their professional help methods in the context of the current construction of social psychological service system. With the urbanization process and the development of urban-rural dual structure, the mental health of left-behind children has always been the focus of attention of academia and the whole society. With the implementation of the " School Merging" policy on the past than decade,a large number of rural students have to choose boarding schools in towns far away from home. Most of these students are left-behind children in rural areas,so they have dual attributes of "stay-behind" and "boarding".The psychological health of left-behind children is the focus of this study. This study is different from psychological diagnosis and treatment in the field of psychology. It carries out statistical analysis on the basis of mental health test and social support measurement.Based on social support theory,it carries out social work professional services for the research group from the supportive environment, and draws conclusions.Firstly, this study measured the mental health diagnostic test(MHT)and social support of left-behind children and non-left-behind children in W boarding schools. The study found that there were significant differences between left-behind children and non-left-behind children in self-blame tendency and MHT total score at 0.05 level. The mental health level of left-behind children was significantly lower than that of non-left-behind children. From the perspectives of gender, ethnicity, supportive family and school environment of Left-behind children, this paper analyses whether family structure and boarding environment have certain effects on the mental health of Left-behind children.Variance analysis shows that the mental health level and social support level of left-behind children are significantly lower than those of non-boarding children. The left-behind children in W school are lack of learning support and emotional support.Peer support shows obvious learning anxiety,anxiety,self-blame,terror and loneliness, and the MHT value of left-behind children in W boarding school is negatively correlated with social support.Secondly, starting from the supportive environment of boarding schools, based on the theory of social support and the theory of comprehensive advantage perspective, this study refines the supportive environment into three dimensions: learning support, family support and peer support, carries out professional practice of social work, evaluates the process of social work practice, and summarizes the "supportive-successful" concept.Long Practice Model. The study found that the group and case work aimed at expanding the proximal support, promoting the distant support and exploring the potential advantages of the left-behind children in W school have significantly improved their learning motivation, emotional experience and communicative ability. The left-behind children's perception of social support from family, school and peers has been enhanced, which is helpful to the boarding. The mental health growth of Left-behind children. It verifies the effective path of "finding mental health problems-enhancing social support and tapping their own potential-promoting mental health growth" for left-behind children. The final results show that: after the intervention of social work professional methods, the average decline of mental health test for left-behind boarding children is 20.09 points;the average increase of total social support score is 2.42 points, and the subjective effect is obvious. It can be seen that social work services have very important practical significance in tapping the potential of Left-behind children, building social support resources, and thus promoting the mental health growth of Left-behind children. At the same time, there are obvious shortcomings in this study. Finally, this study summarizes and reflects on the whole research process.
