An Investigation Report On Rural Left-behind Children’s Mental Health

With the speeding up of China’s urbanization process and the rapid development of economic construction, the reform of rural economic structure led to the massive influx of rural surplus labor to the cities. These migrant workers has made the indelible contribution for our country’s urban construction, but also associated this special children’s group, which called the left-behind children. These left-behind children due to the long absence of their parents cannot obtain normal parental care, during the important stage of physical and mental development in childhood. They lack of family education. Today’s teens and children are the flowers of our country and will be the central pillars and backbone of the future society. The problem whether these children’s psychology is healthy or not, is still of great significance in the period of their adult psychological healthy development of personality and moral character formation, as well as the experiences and education that they’ve received in childhood. Childhood is the most critical period of psychology development in our life. The report to select a representative and typicality in Feixi county in the part of left-behind children in rural primary school as the object of investigation, hopes that through this investigation we can find some problems of these left-behind children in mental health and the causes, finally find some suitable suggestions and countermeasures.
