Reading,as one of the four skills of listening,speaking,reading and writing in language learning,is an important factor affecting the learners,Chinese proficiency and communicative competence.Reading teaching is an indispensable part of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language(TCSL).Textbook often plays an irreplaceable role in the reading teaching of TCSL.Textbook is an important basis for teaching and learning.Teachers carry out teaching activities according to textbooks,and students use textbooks to learn knowledge and skills.Studying textbooks can make a more systematic and comprehensive understanding of them,which is not only conducive to the selection of suitable textbooks by major teaching units according to their own needs,but also can provide advice for writers to write new textbooks and improve old textbooks.Besides,it can also provide some help and guidance for teachers and students who use textbooks in the future.Based on the related theory of reading and reading teaching,this paper is based on the current situation of quasi-intermediate and intermediate-class reading teaching in the Intemationsil Cultural Exchange Academy of a university,and chooses Chinese Reading Course(Volume 3)as the research object.On the basis of comprehensive and concrete analysis and evaluation of the textbooks and combined with the teaching experience,this paper discusses the teaching strategies of the Chinese Reading Course(Volume 3)1 hope this research can provide a useful reference for the compilation of the textbook and the reading teaching according to the textbook.This paper consists of five parts:The first chapter of this paper is the introduction,which indicates the research objects,meanings and methods,summarizes the research results about the Chinese reading textbooks and the Chinese Reading Course,expounds the relevant theories,which lays the foundation for the later research.The second chapter mainly introduces the current situation of reading teaching using the Chinese Reading course(Volume 3)in the International Cultural Exchange Academy of a university and analyzes the use and teaching of this textbook.The third chapter mainly analyzes the writing style and writing principles of the textbook from the macroscopic level,and examines the various components of the textbook from the microscopic level,which includes the source,the subject matter,the genre,the length of the texts,the number,the difficulty and the way of presentation of new words,the number,type content of exercise.According to the analysis and the actual teaching situation,this paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the textbook,and puts forward some suggestions for optimizing it.The fourth chapter puts forward the strategies of making better use of the Chinese Reading course(Volume 3)to carry out the reading teaching,which is based on the analysis and evaluation of Chinese Reading Course(Volume 3),combined with my practical experience in teaching Chinese as a Second Language.The fourth chapter,based on the analysis of the Chinese Reading Course(Volume 3)t combined with my practical experience in the Teaching Chinese as a Second Language,puts forward the strategy of making better use of the Chinese Reading Course(Volume 3)to carry out the reading teaching.The last chapter combs the context of this paper,and summarizes the research of this paper.
