Individual mental health is closely related to their level of self-consciousness.The primary school stage is an important period for the development of individual self-consciousness.However,due to the family economic situation, parents'accompany, academic performance and the immaturity of individual physiological and psychological development, there are many uncertainties in the development of rural pupils' self-consciousness,and their mental health is facing challenges.Combining with the actual situation of rural primary school students,it is an rimportant aspect of maintaining the mental health development of rural primary school students to carry out positive self-consciousness intervention and promote the development and improvement of their self-consciousness.This paper takes the fifth grade students of Y primary school in Yongren County as the research object.Through the Piers-Harris Children's Self-Consciousness Scale revised by Su Linyan and other scholars,it is concluded that 38 of the 120 students have a total score of less than 51,which is below the norm level of urban children in China.Combined with the interview data of these students, their classmates and the head teacher, the author finally selected 9 of them as the research objects.Their overall level of self-consciousness is low,and the problems are mainly reflected in the two aspects of"physical appearance and attributes" and "intellectual and school status".Based on this, under the guidance of the theory of "mirror me" and the theory of eight-stages of personality development, the author tries to carry out the service from the two aspects of "physical appearance and attributes" and "intellectual and school status"by the double intervention method of"group+class"and taking the basic self-knowledge of self-consciousness as the entry point. The results show that the dual intervention method of "group+class"is helpful to improve the self-consciousness of rural pupils. To intervene the basic self-knowledge of self-consciousness can promote the improvement of the overall self-consciousness level of individuals. From the perspective of the theory of "mirror me",good feedback can be provided between service objects with high familiarity. In addition,in order to better enhance the self-consciousness of rural pupils,we need to establish a long-term mechanism of social work services;we need to build a multi-support system, not only families and schools do something, but also the government should increase the support for rural pupils.
