Research On Group Work Of TCFL

Group work is a communicative language learning activity which is widely applied in TCFL classes. Group work can improve students'ability to communicate in Chinese, create a pleasant learning environment, and enhance students'confidence of learning Chinese. Thus more and more researchers began to pay close attention to group work in TCFL classes.But the study of group work in TCFL classes is still in its beginning stage and has a long way to go. The studies in the past are mostly concentrating on the tasks and the designs of tasks of group work, and the facts which influent group work. However, the application status, the students'attitude towards group work and the problems that the teachers have in group work have not been clarified clearly.In view of the above situation, this study tries to put forward some suggestions in the process of group work.The thesis consists of four chapters. Chapter One clarifies issues raised in this dissertation, as well as the domestic and foreign research results of group work. Chapter Two is the connotation, theoretical basis, classification, advantages and disadvantages of group work. Chapter Three is the research and analysis on the application status of group work. Chapter Four is the significances of this study the summarized suggestions of applying group work in TCFL classes, as well as the limitations of this study.Briefly, this study examines the group work of TCFL classes, analyzes the facts of students and teachers in group work, and proposes advices and suggestions of applying group work in the future. It raises some inspiring views and has some referential value.
