The teaching of Chinese at the Royal University of Phnom Penh is representative of Cambodian universities in both history and quality.At present,there is not enough research on Chinese teaching in Cambodia,especially on the problem of Chinese character writing.Based on the studies of stage,this paper makes a further study on the problem of pen-and-stroke writing of Chinese characters in the students of Royal University of Phnom Penh,Cambodia.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the reason of topic selection,research status and research methods.The second part mainly introduces the history of Chinese teaching in Royal University of Phnom Penh,the teaching background of the teachers and the language learning background of the learners.Then it investigates the situation of the students' stroke acquisition and the teaching situation of the teachers' stroke,mainly using the method of questionnaire and conversation.In the third part,the errors in Chinese character writing are classified into four types: errors in the number of strokes,errors in the shape of strokes,errors in the direction of strokes and errors in the relationship between strokes.The fourth part is the analysis of the reasons for the students' Chinese character writing errors.Through the analysis,it can be summarized as five points: the complexity of Chinese characters,negative transfer of Khmer script,the student factor,teacher factor,the impact of the examination system.The fifth part is to put forward the corresponding Suggestions for the Chinese character stroke errors of students,mainly from the two aspects of teacher teaching and school management to discuss.In terms of teaching,teachers are required to improve their own teaching quality,improve teaching methods and pay attention to the teaching and correction of Chinese characters in class.School management includes the regulation of the length of Chinese character practice,the provision of a platform for teachers to improve the teaching ability of Chinese characters and strokes,the improvement of examination methods and the addition of special Chinese character classes.The sixth part is the conclusion.
