Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of Chinese economy, more and more foreigners begin to learn Chinese. As a second language, Chinese acquisition has some similarities with other second language acquisition, which include the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. However, except these four parts, learning Chinese needs to learn a unique skill which namely Chinese character learning. The mastery level on Chinese character of foreigners will directly affect on their cultivation of Chinese reading and writing skills. Therefore, the Chinese character teaching undoubtedly becomes the most important and difficult part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. And Chinese character learning is the main obstacle of Chinese learning beginners. Compare with the foreigners of Chinese culture circle, Chinese character learning of other foreigners becomes more difficult. As a result, the research of this aspect becomes very urgent. This paper mainly focuses on analyzing the problems of Chinese character acquisition on Chinese learning beginners who are come from Central Asian and not Chines culture circle. Research the reasons of problems on writing Chinese character and attempts to seek teaching strategies on Chinese character teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
