Ch'ungyol Wang(???)(1236-1308),the twenty-fifth monarch of Goryeo,was the eldest son of the twenty-fourth generation of the Goryeo' s Emperor Wonjong,and his mother was the Shunjing Queen Mother Kim.During the time from the birth of Ch' ungyol Wang to the throne of Wonjong,the Goryeo was in the period of war,and it was this period that changed the political direction of Goryeo.From 1231 when the mongols invaded Goryeo for the first time to 1259,the Mongolian Yuan has invaded Goryeo for six times,which made the Goryeo in a huge dilemma and the life of the people in Korea ruined.The political relationship between Goryeo and Yuan during the period of the Ch'ungyol Wang was an important and special stage in the history of the relationship between Goryeo and M ongolia.Before the throne of Ch'ungyol Wang,Koryo was not only under the threat of the Mongolian iron ride,but also suffered from the constant autocracy of military officials,which made the power of Goryeo' s emperor virtually useless.In order to change this phenomenon,Ch' ungyol Wang closely connected with the Yuan Dynasty.In 1274,Ch' ungyol Wang married princess Hu Dou Lujian Mi Shi(??????),the daughter of Kublai,the founder of the Yuan Dynasty.The political marriage not only improved the status of the emperor of Goryeo,but also strengthened the relationship with the Yuan Dynasty,and also with the status of the bridegroom of the Yuan Dynasty,he fought for many rights and interests for Goryeo,Such as the abolition of Dongning fu(???),to recover the northwest Danluo(??)and the return of the Yuan to the territory of the Jurassic.On the other hand,during the reign of Ch'ungyol Wang,he twice helped the Yuan Dynasty to attack Japan.Although these two aggression wars against Japan have all failed,and have caused huge losses to Goryeo,the political relations between the two countriess were strengthened.One important thing for Ch' ungyol Wang in the later period of his reign was the kingship dispute with his biological son.In 1298,Ch' ungyol Wang gave the throne to Chungseon(???),but later,because of the dispute over the faction marriage disputes between Chungseon and Princess Jiguo(????),he was again on the throne.After the restoration,the Goryeo was divided into two factions,Ch' ungyol Wang faction and Chungseon faction,and the two factions fought fiercely.It did not end until the death of Ch' ungyol Wang in 1308.The father-son dispute between Ch' ungyol Wang and Chungseon was closely related to the Yuan Dynasty.This paper studies the political relations between Goryeo and the Yuan Dynasty in the period of the Ch' ungyol Wang.The full text is divided into six chapters:The first chapter,the introduction part.It mainly expounds the purpose,significance and research status,research methods and innovations of the research at home and abroad.The second chapter is the political background of the Ch' ungyol Wang before the throne,Mongolia Yuan's six battles against Goryeo and the end of the power of military officials and its impact.The third chapter explains the political marriage of Ch' ungyol Wang,and its influence.The political marriage between Ch' ungyol Wang and the princess Qi,and the impact of this marriage on the Goryeo and Yuan Dynasty.The fourth chapter,during the period of the Ch' ungyol Wang,Korea assisted the yuan dynasty in the war against Japan twice,and explained the background and process of the war,and analyzes the reasons for the failure and the impact of the war.The fifth chapter is the kingship dispute during the reign of Ch'ungyol Wang.The beginning and end of the abdication event of the Ch' ungyol Wang,the abdication event is both the intention of the Yuan Dynasty and the struggle for rights;the restoration of Ch' ungyol Wang;analysis of the relationship between the power struggle of Ch' ungyol Wang and Chungseon and the Yuan Dynasty,after the restoration of the Ch' ungyol Wang,power struggles between father and son and the two factions.The sixth chapter,conclusions.Through the analysis of a series of events in the political relationship between the Goryeo and the Yuan Dynasty during the reign of Ch'ungyol Wang,conclude the nature of the political relations between the Goryeo and Yuan Dynasty,and the status and role of Ch' ungyol Wang in the political relationship between the Goryeo and Yuan dynasties.
