| In modern Chinese,"Bie Shi" "Bu Shi" and "Bie Bu Shi" have the usage of speculative mood adverbs,but they do not have the speculative mood at the beginning of their use,and have gone through the process of lexicalization."Bie Shi" produced the usage of speculative mood adverbs in the Qing Dynasty under the combined action of the supernormal combination of conventional structure,the generalization of word meaning and the high frequency use."Bu Shi" is a speculative Mood Adverb used in the Qing Dynasty under the combined effect of the supernormal combination of the conventional structure,the generalization of word meaning and the absorption of context.It is speculated that the modal adverb "Bie Bu Shi" has only been used in modern Chinese,and its formation is motivated by the supernormal combination of conventional structures,and its formation mechanism is conceptual superposition and construction integration.Comparing "Bie Shi" "Bu Shi" and "Bie Bu Shi" from three angles of syntax,semantics and pragmatics,we can find that "Bie Shi" "Bu Shi" are mostly placed at the beginning of sentences and the middle of sentences when they are used as mood adverbs,and "Bie Bu Shi" can be used alone in addition to being at the beginning of sentences and the middle of sentences.The typical semantic features of "Bie Shi" "Bu Shi" and "Bie Shi" as mood adverbs are [+speculation] [-determination],the typical semantic features of the following sentences are [+tendentiousness] [+undesirable occurrence].When guessing the co-occurrence of mood adverb "Bu Shi" and the first person pronoun "Wo",there is no such use of "Bie Shi" and "Bie Bu Shi" except to express guess and clarify it."Bie Shi" "Bu Shi" and "Bie Bu Shi" all have communicative function,suspicious evaluation function,and textual cohesion function,but they are different in the intensity of subjectivity,"Bie Bu Shi" has a strong subjectivity,"Bie Shi" takes second place,"Bu Shi" has the weakest subjectivity. |
