| In modern Chinese,there are some emerging words,which are either newly coined words or developed from phrases through lexicalization,with high frequency of use and rich functions.As for the emerging words,academia has always paid great attention to them,especially the function words.Among the new function words in modern Chinese,adverbs have been the biggest controversial and attractive category,sustaining the popularity among scholars for ages.Internal members of the adverbs are complex and varied,and classification of many of its belonging,of which the classification problems,the views are multitudinous.Most of the senior scholars discussed on the definition of the nature of adverbs,classification standards,scope and the other system issues.While young scholars place the focus on case studies and put an emphasis in the analysis of the syntactic features and grammaticalization of individual adverb.This paper mainly studies “Gao Bu Hao”after lexicalization,which is classified as commentary adverb according to Yi Shengzhang ‘s classification of adverbs in modern Chinese,and characterized “Gao Bu Hao”as the speculative commentary adverb according to its meaning of speculation.As the speculative commentary adverb,“Gao Bu Hao”is used to express the speculation to statement information of the speaker,and on top of that,the speaker’s subjective evaluation and attitudes are attached around the outside of the propositional information.The article expounds thoroughly the usage and features of “Gao Bu Hao”in three aspects including its syntactic representation,semantic features and pragmatic function.besides,the particle proposes appropriate instructional design from the viewpoint of teaching Chinese as a foreign Language.This paper is divided into three parts:Part one is introduction,covering the study background,content and significance.And then it briefly combs the research status of the former research.Finally,the paper describes methods of the research and its corpus.The second part is the main section of this paper,including the second,third,fourth and fifth chapters.First of all,it analyzes comprehensively the syntactic expression,from three aspects of syntactic distribution,selection of the types of sentences and its co-occurring elements.Secondly,summarizes the semantic relation of the sentences before and after “Gao Bu Hao”in context.And generalizes its semantic structural patterns.Subsequently,discusses the semantic features of “Gao Bu Hao”.Thirdly,based on its semantic features proposes its pragmatic function.Finally,proposes the design of teaching plan aiming at the application to the teaching Chinese as a second language.The third part is conclusion,summarizes the research results of this paper,and explains its shortcomings. |
