A Comparative Study Of Words Marked With???between Trial Version And The Seventh Edition Of Modern Chinese Dictionary

The research object of this paper is the words marked with???in the 1965's Modern Chinese Dictionary(trial edition)and the 2016's Modern Chinese Dictionary(seventh edition).By reading item by item,we have thoroughly screened the words marked with???in the two editions of Modern Chinese Dictionary,and obtained all the materials of 765 words marked with???in the trial edition and 1004 words marked with???in the seventh edition.Through the methods of comparison,description and analysis,the paper makes a comparative study of the words marked with???in the two editions.The paper mainly includes six parts:The first part mainly introduces the research objects,research methods and research significance,and summarizes the previous research results of Modern Chinese Dictionary from the perspectives of lexicology and lexicography.The second part,mainly gives a general description of the words marked with???included in the trial edition and the seventh edition,and describes them from three aspects: phonetic perspective,semantic perspective and thesaurus distribution.In addition,this part makes a preliminary comparison of the words marked with???in the two editions.The third part mainly makes the specific comparison and analysis about entry collection of the two editions from three ways: the additional words marked with???and the deleted words marked with???in the seventh edition compared with the trial edition,and other changes.The fourth part mainly includes three parts: paraphrase addition,paraphrase deletion,and paraphrase modification.Under each part,there are sub-categories to compare and analyze the paraphrase changes of the two editions.The fifth part mainly includes two parts,one is the type of the variation of the example,the other is the effect of the variation of the example.The changes of the examples can be roughly classified into five types: supplement of the examples,reduction of the examples,replacement of the examples,position adjustment of the examples and partial modification of the examples.The effect of the example changes can be summarized as keep pace with the times,accuracy and normality.The sixth part is the conclusion of the paper,making the overall generalization and summa about the research conclusions of the paper.
