| The source texts in this translation report are from two RELIAS medical training courses in autism and developmental disabilities.Of them,one is the course Stimulus Control and the other is latter part of the course Session Delivery.Session Delivery refers to the Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA)intervention program,while stimulus control serves as an element which should be taken into consideration in delivering ABA intervention.These two texts belong to the applied text,featuring accurate and concise language.This report is guided by Skopostheorie,which has a profound influence on non-literary translation.In this report,translation process as well as linguistic features and content of the texts have been analyzed.In addition,case analysis has been presented in lexical,syntactic and textual aspect.Within the case study,instead of simply stating general theory and strategies,the author has her considerations written down.Though Skopostheorie has incurred much criticism,it is of much significance to payable translation or translation entrusted by others. |
