With the development of Chinese teaching,the problem of "three teachings" has become increasingly prominent.There are some problems in Chinese textbooks,which particularly evident in the primary stage of Chinese textbooks.From my teaching practice,When I use Integrated Chinese and New Practical Chinese Reader,I find that there are more or less problems and deficiencies in the grammar parts and grammar related parts of the two sets of textbooks.This paper chooses two widely used elementary Chinese comprehensive textbooks,Integrated Chinese and New Practical Chinese Reader as the research objects.Based on the Standards of Chinese Proficiency Level and the Outline of Grammar Level,we sorted out the grammatical parts of the two textbooks.Then we make a comparative analysis of the grammar parts of the two sets of textbooks from three parts: the choice and arrangement of grammar items,grammar annotations and grammar exercises.This paper is divided into six parts:In the first part,we introduce the origin,research objects and research methods of the study,and summarizes the current academic research.Including the teaching materials of Chinese as a foreign language,the Integrated Chinese and New Practical Chinese Reader as well as the grammar project arrangement of Chinese textbooks.We find that there have been some achievements in the research of grammar item arrangement in Chinese textbooks,but the comparative study of grammar item in primary Comprehensive Textbooks of Chinese as a foreign language is not enough.In the second part,we make a comparative analysis of the choice of grammar items in the two sets of textbooks in terms of the number,selection,segmentation and arrangement of grammar items.In the third part,we make a comparative analysis of the annotations of the two sets of textbooks,and then choose three representative grammatical points from the grammatical points appearing in both sets of textbooks.Then,we examine the grammatical point interpretation of the two sets of textbooks from the perspectives of "the accuracy of interpretation","the emphasis of interpretation" and "the representativeness of example sentences".In the fourth part,we compare the two sets of textbooks from the number,the type and the form of grammar exercises.In the fifth part,based on the comparative analysis of the two sets of textbooks’ grammar project arrangement.we put forward some suggestions on the compilation of Comprehensive Textbooks of elementary Chinese from the choice of grammar items,the annotations of grammar and the exercise of grammar.In the sixth part,we summarize the whole paper and point out the shortcomings of the research.
