A Comparative Study Of The Texts Of "Developing Chinese·Intermediate Comprehensive Course" And "New Practical Chinese Reader Textbook"

In International Chinese Language Education,teaching materials are an important basis for classroom teaching.As an important part of teaching materials,texts have a great impact on the quality of teaching materials in terms of subject matter,genre,cultural content and layout style,thus affecting the effect of Chinese teaching.This thesis selects “Developing Chinese ·Intermediate Comprehensive Course”and “New Practical Chinese Reader Textbook”(Volume 5,6),which are published by authoritative institutions and widely used in intermediate comprehensive textbooks.Through literature analysis,statistical analysis and comparative research,the text of the two textbooks is analyzed.Based on the results of comparative analysis,this thesis puts forward suggestions on the selection and compilation of texts in order to provide some reference for the compilation of intermediate comprehensive textbooks for international Chinese.This thesis is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly introduces the research background and significance,research objects and research methods,as well as the current domestic literature review on the principles of textbook compilation,textbook selection,‘developing Chinese’ and ‘new practical Chinese textbook’.The second chapter introduces the compilation of the two selected textbooks,including the objectives and principles of the textbooks.The third chapter analyzes the texts of the two textbooks from four aspects: subject matter,genre,cultural content and writing style,and points out their advantages and disadvantages.Based on the research results of the third chapter,the fourth chapter puts forward suggestions on the selection and compilation of intermediate comprehensive textbooks.The selection and compilation of texts should fully consider the students ’ learning needs.Before the selection and compilation of texts,editors should investigate the attitudes of Chinese learners in terms of subject matter,genre,cultural content and layout style.In terms of subject matter,it is necessary to unify practicality,times and classics,and appropriately increase the subject matter of some foreigners living in China.In terms of genre,it is necessary to be rich in variety,the overall arrangement is uniform and reasonable,on the basis of narrative,taking into account other genres,pay attention to different genres with different themes.In terms of cultural content,the text should involve a wide range of cultural content.While increasing the content of Chinese traditional culture,it should also consider whether it is appropriate.It should appropriately increase the factors of modern popular culture,increase the relevant content of Sino-foreign cultural exchanges,and reduce the content of intellectual culture.In the style arrangement,the text style should be complete,the text style should include ’ problem solving,text subject,text questions,notes,illustrations,text origin ’ six parts.The fifth chapter is the summary of this thesis.
