A Study On Work Values For Music-education Students From Normal Universities

The main purpose of this study is to research the correlation between achievement motivation and work values of music education normal university students.Based on the test results of the survey,the researcher need to make conclusions and suggestions for the situation reflected by the data.This research applied the quantitative method.And the research objects are the music education senior sampled from 11 normal universities of different regions and different attributes.The effective responses are 260.This research tool includes two scales,one is the self-compiled "Work Value Inventory for Music Education Students from normal university students" according to literature discussion and expert opinions,and the other is "Achievement Motivation Scale".The data were analyzed with SPSS 23,and the results indicated as below:1.The results demonstrates that the music-education students tend to have active work values.The most important is extrinsic value,followed by intrinsic value and extrinsic reward.Female students are likely to pay more attention on work values than male students.The students from which the universities are directly belong to the Ministry of Education show lower grade in work values than students from normal universities.Difference can be displayed among all kinds of universities on each three values.2.All music-education students from the sample have positive and strong motivation to pursue success.The achievement motivation level of female students is lower than that of male students.And there is no significant difference between them.Among motivation success,motivation failure and achievement motivation,students from universities which is directly belong to the Ministry of Education are lower than students from normal universities.However,there is no obvious difference.3.Achievement motivation of music-education students from normal universities is correlated with their work values differently on each level.It can be concluded that there is a moderate correlation between male students' achievement motivation and their extrinsic reward.Furthermore,their work values are greatly correlated with their motivation success.Work values of female students are hardly correlated with their achievement motivation.And it is correlated with their motivation success.Work values of students from universities directly under the Ministry of Education has lower correlation with their motivation success than the students that are not from the universities.
