The Historical Study Of Design Science In The Period Of The Republic Of China

In the history of the development of "design" in China,the word "design" has been introduced into China since the Republic of China.It has gone through three main stages of translation: Tu an,Gong yi mei shu and She ji yi shu.In modern sense,Tu an is the first name of Chinese design.It is the name of She ji yi shu in the Republic of China.Therefore,Tu an can be called the Design in the Republic of China,and Tu an science is the Design Science in the Republic of China.In terms of its substantive concept and research scope,it has a very large scope.It does not have the same meaning as "pattern".In recent years,after a period of blank period of research,Design Science in the Republic of China began to return to people’s research field of vision.However,due to various reasons,the regional limitations,category limitations and unscientific classification of some studies have resulted in one-sidedness,incomprehensibility and confusion.The premise of in-depth study of a knowledge is to clarify the development process of its emergence,development and end,so the study of the development history of Design Science in the Republic of China is particularly important.The purpose of this paper is to clarify the concept,filling in the deficiencies of research and implement scientific classification through historical materials and thematic analysis.This can not only reveal the regulation of development of Design Science in the Republic of China,but also add strength to the study of "the history of Chinese art in the 20 th century" and "the history of modern Chinese design".The structure of the paper is classified according to geographical boundaries.Its contents are arranged according to time.At the same time,it uses specific cases to supplement and improve.The first chapter of this paper is to define the concept and scope of Design Science in the Republic of China from historical materials.In order to determine the research scope of the whole paper.The second chapter is about the background of the study.It includes politics,economy,culture and education of all classes at home and abroad,and strives to be very comprehensive.Chapter 3 to Chapter 5 are based on the classification of "Official Design Science in the Republicof China under the Government of the Republic of China","Design Science in the Republic of China of Liberated Areas"and"Design Science in the Republic of China in Mainland China,Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan under Colonial Rule during the Anti-Japanese War".Particularly,the study of Design Science in the Republic of China in the Republic of China in textbooks,Independent design firms and folk crafts was added.It has changed the state that only studying in "education" and "ideas" in the past.At the end of the paper,we should summarize its main characteristics and put forward some suggestions for the development of modern design.This paper will study strictly according to the real history,and draw the viewpoint through the theoretical data.The author hopes that this paper can not only contribute to the research of Design Science in the Republic of China,but also revise the previous research.
