On The Evolution Of Li Shimin's Image In The Stories Of The Sui And Tang Dynasties

The stories of the Sui and Tang dynasties have been spread widely in the folk,and the influential story types have been formed.Among them,the story of Li Shimin is an important category in the stories of Sui and Tang dynasties,and gradually presents the trend from dispersion to integration with the passage of time.The historical records of the Tang and Song dynasties are quite detailed to Li Shimin s records,but lack of plot and vividness.At the same time,the stories of Li Shimin are recorded in the notes,legends and vernacular in the Tang and Song dynasties.Yuan-dynasty Zaju plays,and vernacular,novels of Ming and Qing dynasties,opera derived from ballad singing even left a large number of Li Shimin related stories of the Sui and Tang dynasties.However,due to the fact that fewer works are preserved,this article can only sort out Li Shimin s story from the available literature materials,and analyze the evolution track and shaping techniques of Li Shimin's image in the Sui and Tang stories,focusing on the factors that affect the image evolution.During the Tang dynasty to the middle and late Qing dynasty,the image of Li Shimin has experienced the transition from Wise Monarch to HunJun,from protagonist to supporting role,from diversification to typification and secularization process.The author uses the contrast,plot to apply,and the method of virtual and reality,reality and legendary combination to complete the shape of the image of Li Shimin.In addition,with the spread of Tang Taizong's "to blame himself for the disaster of the locusts"and"swallowing locust"story,Li Shimin has added the identity of the"Insect God"and the image stereotype is consistent with the folk's expectations of the harvest.Due to the academic study of the evolution of the image of Li Shimin in the stories of the Sui and Tang dynasties is weak,and there is no overall and thematic study,so I hope that through the research of this topics attract some scholars,let more people to participate.and set all the power to do deeper research on the text stories of the Sui and Tang dynasties.
