BADUANJIN(The Eight Brocades)Chinese Traditional Wellness Exercises,or BADUANJIN Wellness Exercises for short, represents Chinese wellness culture ’ s application to human movement. These exercises thus serve as a representation of ancient Chinese health and wellness traditions, particularly Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).Ba Duan Jin is constituted by eight interrelated movements:1.Holding the Hands High with palm up to Regulate the Internal organs;2.Posing as an Archer Shooting Both Left and Right handed;3.Holding one arm aloft to regulate the functions of the Spleen and Stomach;4.Looking backwards to prevent Sickness and Strain;5.Swinging the Head anda lowering the body to Relieve Strees;6.Moving the hands down the back and leg,and Touching the feet to strengthen the Kidneys;7.Thrusting the Fists and making the eyes Glare to Enhance Strength;8.Raising and Lowering the Heels to cure diseases. The Ba Duan Jin physical exercise therapy method,is closely related to TMC and has an excellent health-preserving effect. The name of each movement contains two inseparable parts through which one may interpret the guidance and regulation of the Chinese-medicinal exercise, namely: exercise method, action essentials and guiding medical functions and meanings.Based on my four years of study and training, learning and understanding of Ba Duan Jin,I understand and comprehend its meaning. In addition, because I am a native Spanish speaker,I want to use my own language advantages, combined with my own practice experience and sentiment,to make Spanish speaker people learn and know easier and smoothly about Ba Duan Jin.This research not only promotes a clear and unified understanding for educators and practitioners, but also inspires trainers and practitioners to promote their understanding of the Ba Duan Jin healthy culture. At the same time, they will increase their understanding and interest about traditional Chinese health care movements. This thesis uses archival and reference materials, expert interviews, and field observation methods to comprehensively summarize and analyze existing Spanish annotations of the Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin textbook. My research on these topics shows that:1.Ba Duan Jin belongs to the category of stretching movement, and the core object of the stretching movement is “strength”.The Ba Duan Jin movement attaches great importance to the practice of “strength”,stretch, and relaxation of the tendons, and up and down in the exercise, the left to the right, the front and the back, and the inclined and straight orientations create a confrontational pulling feeling,to understand the pull of each action, feel the guidance of the force in each direction of each action.2."strength"(jin)It has a close relationship with the tendon system of Chinese medicine culture.Long-term exercise makes the tendons stretch, flexible and elastic. In the process of translation and introduction,it is necessary to combine the original meaning of Ba Duan Jin,and also to consider its extension meaning for translation and introduction,in order to better understand and understand the true meaning of Ba Duan Jin,so that the practitioners can produce Interest in learning.3.There are many translation errors in existing Western-language textbook accounts of Ba Duan Jin,which affects the learners to establish correct action concepts and basic norms of movements, thus affecting the understanding of the practitioners and causing their physical movements to fail the requirements of practicing.4.Translation problems in foreign language versions of Ba Duan Jin textbooks fall into two main categories: The first is translation problems at the level of language communication;the second is translation problems at the level of cross-cultural communication.Type one includes the following translation errors: 1)The meaning of the Spanish translation is not consistent with the context;2)The lack of cognition of the requirements of the Eight Diagrams movement;3)The expression of the Western language annotation is not smooth;4)The interpretation of the Western annotation information is insufficient;5)Problems with Western grammar;6)Absolute dependence on the dictionary. In total there are 6 translation issues. The second type consists of the concept of non-equivalence of cultural meaning(The Chinese concept doesn’t exist in Spanish).Chinese Pinyin plus Annotation;Transliteration;Free Translation;Creative Translation;Exegetic Translation and Annotation Translation.5 Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)is based on the coordinated balance of the internal air function of the body(Functional Energetic). However,Western medicine is based on human anatomy(Anatomy-Structural).Between the two different medical systems, the rules for the names of various terms are different. The names of the organs in TCM terminology include the name of the organ, but it is not recommended to translate the name directly into the name of the Western medicine. This translation should be based on the "Energetic-Functional System".It has been found through practical research that the term "System" is a comprehensive concept.6.The term "System" can cover the following content: the name of the internal organs of the entity and its physiological functions, the relationship between the symptoms of the various meridian names and functional energy disorders and the system, and the activity of the internal organs. For example,in TCM terminology, transliteration and annotation can be used for translation, but it is also necessary to consider the habit of translating Energetic-Functional System(system gas and function). From the perspective of Chinese medicine, such a translation can cover the full meaning.
