A Report On The Translation Of The Bone Game:Strategies Of Translating Absolute Construction In Literary Translation

Increasingly being translated nowadays,American stories have aroused more and more attention.Given the large number of absolute construction used in written language,there are not many articles discussing about absolute construction.In consideration of many absolute constructions in my report,I tend to study absolute construction in my thesis.The key point of this research is to study the absolute construction in the novel and to seek for the reason why the absolute construction is used,and what effect of the absolute construction is.Also,absolute construction has many different functions,some for purpose,some for reason,some for condition,some for means and others.And different position of the absolute construction will also different in meaning.Under the guidance of functional equivalence,this report will explore the translation strategies of absolute construction.With different translation strategies,this paper will strive to achieve the greatest equivalence between the original and the translation.
