With the continuous development of information technology,both at the national level and the first-tier teachers have begun to pay attention to how information technology can be better used in subject teaching.The use of information technology in education has brought great opportunities for the research and practice of individualized learning.The Ministry of Education has clearly pointed out that personalized learning is an important feature of the development of education in the information age in the "Ten-year Plan for Educational Information Development(2011-2020)".In addition,in the "Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)",it is also suggested that English learning is largely a personalized activity.Only when we pay attention to individual differences in teaching process,can we maximize teaching effectiveness.In this study,the use of online teaching platform to achieve personalized learning in junior high school English.Through the literature research method,combing and summarizing the development of "online teaching platform" and "individualized learning" at home and abroad,and finding out the development trend and weak points of personalized learning in China.Through questionnaire survey and interview,we know the current situation of junior middle school English Teaching in Yinchuan and the current situation of English personalized learning in junior middle school.Based on the current situation,we design the personalized learning teaching plan of junior middle school English based on the current network teaching platform.Teaching practice in a junior middle school in Yinchuan through observation and action research.In practice,the "ability of the sky" teaching platform is used to personalize students’ learning,including personalized preview before class,personalized answering in class,and personalized consolidation after class.Students learn through the platform,record student learning process data,use the learning analysis technology to analyze student’s personal data,and feedback the analysis results to teachers and students.They adjust "teaching" and "learning" according to personalized data.The research results show that:the design of the English personalized learning based on the support of the platform in the study will significantly improve students’ interest in English learning and learning strategies;promote the exchange of teachers and students,students and students.The questionnaires data shows that:students like this teaching method very much.But through practice,it is found that the improvement of student achievement is relatively small and the workload of personalized learning mode based on network teaching platform is large.How to modularize content and reduce the workload of teachers is a noteworthy problem in the future research.
