| “The General High School English Curriculum Standards”(2017 version 2020revision)emphasizes that teachers should carry out personalized teaching to meet the individual needs of students,which is crucial to whether the new curriculum reform can achieve significant results.By studying the current situation of high school English teachers’ understanding and implementation of personalized teaching,this study provides teaching feedback for the revision of future curriculum standards,and also provides reference for teachers to improve their ability to practice personalized teaching,and promotes the current curriculum reform and the professional development of teacher team.This study takes English teacher from five high schools in Linyi City,Shandong Province as the research object,using literature analysis and survey research methods to research the high school English teachers’ understanding and implementation of personalized teaching.The research questions are as follows:(1)What is the current situation of high school English teachers’ understanding and implementation of personalized teaching?(2)What are the influencing factors for high school English teachers to understand and implement personalized teaching?(3)What are the measures for high school English teachers to correctly understand and implement individualized teaching?This research investigates teachers’ understanding of individualized teaching through teacher questionnaires,and students’ questionnaires to investigate high school students’ evaluation of English teachers’ teaching behaviors,so as to understand the current situation of high school English teachers’ individualized teaching implementation.Finally,analyze the content of the interview,summarize the influencing factors,and put forward measures for high school English teachers to correctly understand and implement individualized teaching.The study finds:(1)the current situation of high school English teachers’ understanding of personalized teaching is at a medium level,the implementation status is at a lower middle level.About understanding status,although teachers are aware of the importance of individualized teaching,they cannot fully understand the concepts and implementation requirements,doubt students’ autonomous learning ability,and ignore peer cooperation.About implementation status,the teaching content meets students’ learning needs,but the teaching form is not popular with students,and teaching improvement lacks student evaluation.(2)The influencing factors are divided into teacher,school and student factors.The teacher factors include teachers’ personalized teaching concept awareness and professional quality,the school factors include the school’s development vision and school management system,and the student factors include attitude and interest in personalized English learning.(3)The measures for teachers to correctly understand and implement individualized teaching include correctly understanding senior high school English curriculum,understanding students comprehensively,constructing individualized teaching framework and summarizing effective individualized teaching strategies. |
