| Personalized teaching is a kind of teaching activities that teacher use personalized teaching to meet students’ personalized learning,and also promote the healthy development of every student’s personality.The new curriculum standard emphasizes that educators should fully recognize the individual differences among students,consider the specific situation and personality differences of students when teaching,creatively design the teaching process and teach students according to their aptitude,so that every student can get the development they deserve.Adolescence is a key stage in the construction of a person’s outlook on life,values,life habits,thinking logic and knowledge system.Schooling plays a vital role in accelerating,dominating and orienting the development of personality.However,in the current English classroom teaching,it is still difficult to carry out personalized teaching completely and smoothly.In this paper,it explores the current state of junior high school English teachers’ understanding of personalized teaching by means of questionnaires and interviews,and explores in depth its concrete manifestations in three areas: conceptual understanding,beliefs and attitudes,and challenges in implementation.First of all,through the analysis of data and interview results,it easily reach a conclusion that that most of the research participants have difficulties in distinguishing personalized teaching from other similar concepts and do not have a high level of recognition of personalized teaching.Secondly,the paper further explores the difficulties faced by the research participants in implementing personalized.While teachers identified the examination system and large class sizes as also important factors in implementing personalized teaching,teachers’ own teaching ability had the greatest impact on personalized instruction.Based on the results of the above analysis,the researcher analyses and discusses the current situation and problems and gives suggestions that can improve teachers’ understanding of personalized teaching from the perspectives of changing teachers’ concepts and building teachers’ learning communities,so as to further improve the implementation of personalized teaching. |
