Fear of intimacy refers to the private thoughts and feelings of inner secrets that individuals avoid to communicate with important others, which may be friends?parents or close partners. At the most important period of life, college is the key period for students to gradually establish and improve their own emotion and relationships with others. However, fear of intimacy is easy to form as children perceive the conflicts in their native family and some of the traumas in interpersonal communication.Previous learners have examined the effects of parents' marital conflict perception and interpersonal trust on fear of intimacy without exploring the intrinsic connection between the three variables.Based on the framework of ecosystem theory, this study comprehensively explores the impact of parents' marital conflict perception and interpersonal trust on fear of intimacy,so as to provide guidance and basis for the improvement and intervention of college students' fear of intimacy and promote their psychological health and interpersonal harmony. In this study,351 students in Taiyuan city were tested using the Children's Perception of Parents' Marital Conflict Scale developed by Gtych and Fincham, and Trust Scale by Rempel and Holms and Fear of Intimacy Scale by Decutner and Thelen.Data were processed and analyzed by SPSS20.0 and Hayes' PROCESS and the conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)The intimate fear of the non-only children were significantly higher than that of the only children; The fear of intimacy in urban students were less than that of rural students, and the rural students' intimate fear were less than that of village students.(2)Perception characteristics of parents' marital conflict can significantly positively predict intimate fear(B=0.204,p<.05);Cognitive evaluation of parents' marital conflict can significantly positively predict intimate fear(B=0.490,p<.001).(3)Interpersonal trust can remarkably negatively predict intimatefear(B=-0.405,p<.001).(4)Perception characteristics of parental marital conflict can not significantly predict interpersonal trust(B=-0.131,p>.05);The cognitive evaluation of parents' marital conflict can significantly negatively predict their interpersonal trust level(B=-0.262,p<.001).(5)Interpersonal trust of college students partially mediates the relationship between cognitive evaluation and intimate fear(Z=2.908,p<.01).
