The Influence Of College Students’ Sense Of Shame On Intimacy Fear

Abstract/Summary:
Establishing intimate relationship is an important task faced by college students,but nowadays college students are afraid of marriage and love,which is a great obstacle to the establishment of intimate relationship among college students.Previous studies have found that shame will have an impact on individuals to establish intimate relationships,which is easy to lead to college students’ fear of intimacy.At the same time,the study found that alexithymia and psychological resilience also have a certain impact on intimacy fear.Therefore,from the perspective of shame,based on questionnaire survey,numerical analysis and other methods,this study discusses the causes of intimacy fear and the relationship between them,and introduces alexithymia and psychological resilience to deeply explore the mechanism of shame on intimacy fear.In this study,the " Experience of Shame Scale"," Fear of Intimacy Scale "," Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale " and " Toronto Alexithymia scale " were used to design questionnaires.The college students of Henan University,North China Electric Power University and Kaifeng University were investigated by simple sampling method.The basic data were analyzed by spss26 and process plug-in Regression analysis and intermediary analysis and test show the relationship between shame,alexithymia,psychological resilience and intimacy fear.The specific conclusions are as follows:(1)Shame differs significantly in gender,whether or not they are only children,love experience,parental marital status,and grade level;(2)There are significant differences in love experience and grade level in intimate fears;there are no significant differences in gender,whether the student is an only child,and the marital status of the parents.(3)Shame,narrative disorder,psychological resilience,intimate fear and various dimensions are significantly correlated,and shame and narrative disorder can positively predict intimate fear,and psychological resilience can negatively predict intimate fear.(4)Narrative disorder and psychological resilience act as a chain mediator between shame and intimate fear.This study is of great significance to the establishment and maintenance of College Students’ intimate relationship in theory and practice.The conclusions drawn from the research results are worthy of reference for college students and mental health educators.
