With the deepening of reform and opening-up policy and the development of social modernization,a lot of hi-level and application-oriented translating talents are wanted.Therefore,the MTI(Master of Translating and Interpreting)was set up officially in 2007,aiming at cultivating translators or interpreters with proficient translating skills and extensive knowledge in different fields.In December 2007,Guidelines to the cultivating scheme for master of translating and interpreting was published by the Ministry of Education for People's Republic of China.In this guideline,target students,study duration,curricula and cultivating model has been made clear.Among them,only curricula is the most flexible which can be determined according to the cultivating goals.More than ten years has pasted,the education of MTI is still in experimental stage.During this period,many scholars have did some researches on the curricula and proposed some suggestion.The writer of this paper is wondering if these suggestions have been considered or not?Therefore,this paper targets the curricula of nine universities in Sichuan.Based on the six requirements proposed by Mu Lei for the curricula of MTI,this paper adapts the questionnaires survey,interviewing and statistical analysis to analyze the current situation,problems and proposed some suggestions accordingly,hoping that this paper can offer some information and reference for the further development of the education of MTI.
