Interpreting Report On My Olympics

This report is based on My Olympics,a documentary,which is launched by CCTV sports channel.And the report analyzes the simulated interpretation practice from the aspect of Chinese to English.The author hopes to continuously consolidate interpreting skills which are learned in the class and to make a necessary contribution to the research in this field through this simulated interpreting practice and its analysis and summary.The documentary mainly introduces the twists and turns of Liu Xiang,Du Li and Zhang Xiuyun in the Olympic Games,as well as the life honing and spiritual experience that Olympic Games endowed to them.This report is divided into five chapters.The first chapter introduces the background and the preparation for interpreting.The second chapter analyzes the characteristics of this project,namely the language features and challenges of Chinese documentary interpreting.The third chapter elaborates the interpreting theory.The fourth chapter summarizes the problems and solutions in the interpretation.The fifth chapter summarizes the limitations and findings of this practice,and provides reference and guidance for future interpretation work and prospective interpreters.
