Study On Labial And Lingual In Jinshu Yinyi

Jinshu Yinyi,written by Hechao of Tang Dynasty in A.D.747,is a dispensable material to study Chinese phonetics of the glorious age of Tang Dynasty.The research content of this paper is principally the yinqie and zhiyin of the labial and lingual.The yinqie of labials in Jinshu Yinyi are 462 pieces of materials(fanqie 287 pieces of materials,zhiyin 175 pieces of materials).The yinqie of linguals are 466 pieces of materials(fanqie 337 pieces of materials,zhiyin 129 pieces of materials).The dissertation regards Jinshu Yinyi as the original book on the basis of Handbook of ancient Chinese characters,Handbook of ancient sound,Guangyun and Jiyun.The main research method is fanqie comparative method,considering inductive method,deduction method and computer retrieval method as a supplement.These methods aim to summarize the yinqie of labials and linguals in Jinshu Yinyi.First of all,this dissertation is about introduction of Jinshu and Jinshu Yinyi,the ways of phonetic notation in Jinshu Yinyi,study purpose,study status and research methods.The chapter two is about labial study.Firstly,it introduces process and condition of labial differentiation,then respectively discusses the situations of ziqie and hunqie of heavy labials(bang,pang,bing,ming)and light labials(fei,fu,feng,wei);next to compares hunqie rate of bangfei,pangfu,bingfeng and mingwei in Jinshu Yinyi with that of bangfei,pangfu,bingfeng and mingwei in Guangyun,finally puts out that the heavy labials and light labials are same.The chapter three is about lingual study.Firstly,it briefly introduces when the lingual differentiates;then respectively studies the situation of ziqie and hunqie of tongue sounds(duan,tou,ding,ni)and palatal initials(zhi,che,cheng,niang).The hunqie rate of duan and zhi is eight point eight percent,that of both tou,che and ding,ni is null,that of ni and niang is fifteen point eight percent,so the lingual has differentiated in Jinshu Yinyi,and tongue sounds(duan,tou,ding,ni)chiefly happens on one and four rhymes,palatal initials(zhi,che,cheng,niang)mainly are on two and three rhymes.In summary,fanqie of comparative study traditional rhyme books enables to highlight some subtle phenomenons in sound change and plays a significant role in study of the Chinese phonological history.
