A Comparative Study On The Vocabulary Of Dialogue Materials In Jinshu

At present,the scholars of Chinese linguistics has controversial issues about the historical materials.Especially for historical books such as JinShu(??),where the book-making era is far away from the recorded era,the corpus that completely judges the dialogue of the characters in the book as the age of the author of the history book has yet to be proven.Therefore,this study selects the dialogue of characters in Jinshu(??)as the research object.By comparing the dialogue between Jinshu(??)and similar dialogues in books of the Middle Ages,from the perspective of vocabulary,the extent to which the dialogue materials in Jinshu(??)retains the appearance of middle ancient Chinese language.Through the search of Zhongguojibengujiku(???????),it was found that nearly60%of the dialogues in Jinshu(??)can be found in similar books in the Middle Ages.It is enough to see that the dialogue in Jinshu(??)has preserved a lot of the language of the Middle Ages.By comparing the polite words,real words,and function words in the similar dialogue between Jinshu(??)and the Middle Ages,it not only provides an argument for the Jinshu(??)dialogue to retain a lot of the appearance of middle ancient Chinese language,but also let us see the characteristics of the dialogue itself in Jinshu(??).Through this study,we can conclude that we should still be cautious when dealing with the dialogue material in the history book.The dialogue of the characters cannot be regarded blindly as the corpus of the author's writing year,or as the corpus of the age recorded in the history books.Instead,we should make a dialectical analysis and research based on the characteristics of specific historical materials,and finally determine the age of the corpus.In the end,I provided arguments on how to treat historical data differently in the academic community.
