This paper,based on the HUILIN YINYI,which is included in the Chinese Tripitaka(Chinese Buddhist scriptures),taking the vocabularies and the variant forms of characters in the HUILIN YINYI as the main research object.The research conducts induction,classification,and comparison studies on the HUILIN YINYI,from both synchronic and diachronic perspectives.The purpose is to examine the laws of the change about the variant forms of characters in the HUILIN YINYI,and to provide valuable data for the study of Buddhist scriptures,Chinese characters in the Middle Ages and some related studies.After extracting and classify the variant forms of characters in the HUILIN YINYI,from a synchronic perspective,we explore the variants which are informed for the symbol for sound,for significance,the part of character adjust their position,and the complex characters(the reasons of being variant are diverse,which include both the previously mentioned and other reasons).It links the study of glyph with phonology,exhortation,and lexical semantics,examining variant glyph from multiple perspectives.This paper also conduct some case studies about the variants which are generated because the part of the character changed,besides the symbol for sound and for significance.We will also describe the dynamic changes from the diachronic perspective with thedictionary and classics.In addition,the SIFENLV YINYI in this paper,we choose it as the case.Our research on it mainly focuses on comparison between the variant forms of the character due to mistakes in the different versions.We examine the similarities and differences of the glyph,and analyze the causes of mistakes.At the same time,with the help of relevant literature,we will arrange the glyph order from a diachronic perspective. |
