Oral language,as the most frequently used language skill in daily life,plays an important role in communication.In language learning,speaking level is also an important indicator to measure students' language ability.However,in the teaching of Chinese as a second language,oral teaching often occurs in a single,stylized state.Students also have problems with insufficient attention to spoken language learning.Although Chinese Spoken Language Teaching has achieved some research results,it is still quite unmatched with the rapid development of Chinese international education.Therefore,there is an urgent need for innovation in the teaching mode of spoken Chinese,and we need more updated theories to guide the teaching of spoken Chinese.In the late 1970 s,schema theory gradually entered the field of vision.However,since the introduction of schema theory into the field of foreign language teaching,the research points mainly focus on the input of reading and listening,and are rarely involved in language output.This is also true in teaching Chinese as a foreign language,but this does not mean that schema theory does not apply to the output of spoken and written languages.This paper attempts to combine schema theory with spoken Chinese teaching,and improve students' oral expression ability by activating schema before class,training in class,strengthening schemata,and consolidating and perfecting schemata after class.This study designed a questionnaire,a set of experiments,two tests and an interview.The survey participants were 2015 Donggan students from International Cultural Exchange School of Northwest Normal University,a total of 48.The data measured before and after the experiment shows that the improvement of the students' performance in the experimental class is more obvious than that of the ordinary class,thus confirming that the schema theory has a positive effect on the improvement of learners' oral ability.In addition,we believe that constructing and activating students' language schema,text schema,and form schema all have a positive effect on students' oral expression.In the end,this paper summarizes the relevant enlightenment of schema theory to Chinese oral teaching,and puts forward corresponding Suggestions for the future study of Chinese spoken language teaching.
