| The oral English output can reflect the comprehensive language application ability of students,but the current English listening and speaking class reflects the characteristics of paying too much attention to the learning of words and single sentences and ignoring the spoken discourse comprehension output.According to schema theory,the process of language acquisition is the meaning construction of students towards language knowledge.Classroom teaching activities are the process which students can acquire schema gradually under the guidance of teachers.Therefore,teachers should pay more attention to the students,and the teaching design should reflect the principle of integrity so as to help students to transfer the schema.Combined with the current situation of students’ oral English learning,teachers should pay attention to the integrity and sequence of English and carry out the overall design of the unit.The oral English class of each unit is placed in the final summary review stage.The study aims to explore the impact of schema theory on students’ oral English expression ability,oral English learning interest and satisfaction in the current oral English classroom.This study took the students of two classes in the first grade of a junior high school in Mudan District,Heze City,and carried out a three-month experimental teaching.The oral English teaching method based on schema theory was adopted in the experimental class,while the traditional oral teaching method was adopted in the control class.The purpose of this study is to address the following problems by designing and implementing oral English teaching based on schema theory:1.What is the impact of applying schema theory to oral English teaching in junior high school on students’ oral English expression ability?2.What is the impact of applying schema theory to oral English teaching in junior high school on students’ interest in oral English learning?3.What is the impact of applying schema theory to oral English teaching in junior high school on students’ satisfaction towards oral English classes ?After the experimental teaching,the author uses SPSS27.0 to analyse the collected experimental data and conclude that the oral English teaching method in a junior high school based on schema theory can improve students’ oral English ability,interest in oral English learning and satisfaction towards the oral English class.Finally,the author also elaborated on the teaching enlightenment and limitations of this research.It is expected that schema theory will be widely used in oral English teaching to improve students’ oral expression ability. |
