With the cross-language meetings are held more and more frequently,the importance of conference interpreters has become increasingly prominent.However,under such circumstance,there are only a few studies en the interpreting strategies of conference interpreters,and the only ones that have been studied are simple textual translation studies.Therefore,this paper focuses more on the informational and infectious conference interpreting.In addition to the traditional analysis of lexical features,this paper focuses on the discourse features and suprasegmental features from the perspective of Skopos Theory,to provide strategic support for conference interpreters in a larger dimension.This paper takes two cases as examples.One is 2015 Mengniu Annual Meeting,the other is Ke Wenzhe's Q&A part in a press conference.By using the Skopos Theory,this paper analyzes the performance of interpreters in the following aspects,that is,lexical features,discourse features and suprasegmental features.It aims to summarize the difficulties in conference interpreting and discuss interpreting strategies.Through case analysis,this paper concludes that the characteristics of the conference requires that the interpreter's primary goal is to translate the source language's semantic and emotional meaning as efficiently as possible within a limited period of time,especially for informational and infectious conference.Therefore,interpreters need to use the following features aspects guided by Skopos Theory as a tool to further the conference interpreting strategy.The first is the lexical aspect.Interpreters need to select,add and subtract vocabulary according to the purpose of interpreting.The second is the discourse aspect.When the source language speaker's expression is not suitable with the atmosphere,interpreters need to change the verbal behavior of the rendition according to the purpose of interpretation,or to use the rhetoric appropriately to make the statement more appropriate.The last is the suprasegmental aspect.Interpreters need to use some suprasegmental strategies such as stress,rhythm,and intonation to achieve the interpreting goals.
